Regulation Status
- Tonga does not have an active strategy or policy around AI. But its Digital Government Strategic Framework (2019-2024) aims to create a digitally enabled government by promoting ICT adoption for inter-governmental collaboration and efficient service delivery. The Pacific Digital Democracy Project, funded by the EU and led by the UNDP, includes Tonga as a key participant, focusing on digital governance and citizen empowerment.
