AI regulation status from the Global AI Regulation Tracker.
Regulation Status
- On the basis of the available record, Slovakia has no comprehensive, binding AI-specific law captured in the digest; its engagement to date is cross-border regulatory cooperation rather than a dedicated national AI statute.
- Slovakia's documented AI-relevant activity is its participation, through its internet regulator, in a 2024 multilateral joint statement with regulators from Australia, the UK, France, Korea, South Africa, Fiji and Ireland to synchronise content-restriction, user-surveillance and corporate-disclosure powers against online harms, which broadly covers AI-generated content such as deepfakes though it is not AI-specific.
