  • Saudi Arabia has a national AI strategy and an AI ethics framework, but does not yet have comprehensive, binding AI-specific regulation. The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) leads regulatory and policy development, with a focus on aligning with international standards and fostering investment and innovation.
  • Sectoral guidelines and frameworks exist, including for generative AI and deepfakes, and public consultations are ongoing for new laws such as the draft Global AI Hub Law.
