Regulation Status
- On the basis of the provided record, Paraguay has no comprehensive, binding AI-specific law; its activity is reflected through bilateral agreements and a regional declaration.
- Paraguay's AI engagement is largely international: it signed an MoU with Taiwan (8 May 2026) on AI, cybersecurity, smart technology, digital governance and judicial cooperation, including a pact to invest in a sovereign AI computing center, and was among 17 Latin American countries signing the Cartagena Declaration on AI governance (10 August 2024).
- Paraguay also signed a Declaration of Intent with Brazil's Anvisa (March 2026) to strengthen regional health-surveillance standards in Latin America.
