- Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire) does not have specific AI legislation, but its data protection law, Law No. 2013-450, provides some relevant provisions. The law prohibits decisions made solely on the basis of automated processing that would produce significant or detrimental legal repercussions for individuals. It also requires prior authorization from the Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications/TIC de Côte d'Ivoire (ARTCI) for processing sensitive data, which could apply to certain AI applications.
