Regulation Status
- The Bahamas has introduced AI regulation in its energy sector through the Electricity Act, 2024, which defines AI and empowers the Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) to issue regulations governing AI use in the electricity sector. The country has also passed the Digital Assets and Registered Exchanges (DARE) Act 2024, which includes provisions related to digital assets and fintech.
