The techieray Global AI Regulation Tracker is the world's first and most comprehensive AI regulatory tracking platform. It tracks over 2000+ AI law, regulation and policy developments across 200+ jurisdictions, covering all countries in the world (including territories, US states and regional and international bodies). You can also browse the jurisdiction directory for standalone country profiles. Available in English and Chinese.
Click a region or search for a jurisdiction to open its profile. See weekly compiled updates in Global Updates. Ask questions with AI-powered search, explore insights in Visual Insights, compare jurisdictions in Compare, or connect to the data through the API and MCP integrations. The tracker is updated daily.
Responses are AI-generated. Do not share confidential or personal information. Verify with official sources. No legal advice. Responses improve over time. Questions and responses are recorded as described in the Privacy Policy, and are not used to train AI models.
By accessing and using this website, you agree to the Website Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. Nothing here is legal or professional advice.

Browsing the map is free and stays free. A plan covers the four things built on top of it: the AI search in the chat panel, the API, the MCP server and the embeddable widget. One subscription, one API key, all four.
For organisations that build tracker data into a product, a service or a publication.
By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to the Website Terms of Use, the Commercial Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
Once you sign up to plan, you will receive a key. That key can be used for the both the API and the MCP server. Both API and MCP draw on the one monthly call allowance.
Priced in USD, exclusive of applicable taxes. All plans are billed monthly. Free, Mini, Standard and Pro do not permit commercial use2. Free, Mini and Standard also do not permit any public distribution of tracker data3. Pro permits public distribution of API data only for public research use3. Commercial is the one plan that permits commercial use and public redistribution with attribution7.
Need something else? Email info@techieray.com about volume above the Commercial allowances, a bespoke dataset or custom licence terms.
When you click Subscribe, you are redirected to a Stripe payment page. Payment is facilitated and secured by Stripe in accordance with Stripe's own terms and policies.
If payment succeeds, you are redirected to a page containing your unique API key. That one key opens the API, the MCP server and, on Pro and Commercial, the embed widget. Sign in with the same email address and it also raises the AI search allowance in the chat panel.
The MCP server works with no API key for country research and a preview of up to three global headlines. Sign in with a verified account to try one complete comparison, including saving and Word/PDF export. A subscription adds full global roundups, comparisons of up to ten jurisdictions, confirmed business profiles and checks for changes to saved research, with separate drafts and tracked-change exports.
Your tracker subscription also works with the MCP server. Ask your assistant to connect your tracker account, then sign in and allow access. Existing API keys remain supported. Setup instructions for each client are on the MCP Server panel.
The widget is included with the Pro and Commercial plans. There is no separate embed subscription: paste the same API key your plan already gives you into the id parameter of the iframe snippet. The widget will not display on a Mini or Standard key.
The snippet, a demo and the setup notes are on the Embed Widget panel.
Widget use follows the licence terms of the plan the key belongs to. On Pro the widget is for internal organisational use, not for a public or customer facing site, and not for commercial use. On Commercial the widget may be placed on a public or customer facing site.
Terms apply to your use of the API, available here: Commercial Terms of Service.
1"Personal use" means use by an individual for non-commercial, private purposes.
2"Commercial use" means use that is intended to benefit external parties (e.g. customers, clients, the public) with the primary goal of generating revenue, profit, or other commercial advantages.
3"No public distribution of API data" means that the data returned by API must not be distributed externally, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes. "Public distribution of API data only for public research use" means that the data returned by API may be distributed externally only for the purposes of a not-for-profit research project or public resource, provided every such use visibly credits the Global AI Regulation Tracker at www.techieray.com as the source. It does not permit commercial use, reselling the data as a standalone dataset, or offering it as a substitute for the tracker.
4"Email FAQ support" means replies to your reasonable queries via email within a reasonable timeframe, but does not include service levels, service credits, fixes, upgrades or other developer support. "No support" means there is no obligation on us to reply to your queries (but subject to our discretion).
5"Internal organisational use" means use within an organisation solely for its own internal operations and not for commercial gain from external parties.
6"Commercial use permitted" means the restriction in note 2 does not apply. You may use tracker data to benefit external parties, including inside a product or service you charge for, on the terms of the Commercial Terms of Service.
7"Redistribution with attribution" means the restriction in note 3 does not apply. You may distribute tracker data externally, including to your own customers and to the public, provided every such use visibly credits the Global AI Regulation Tracker at www.techieray.com as the source. It does not permit reselling tracker data as a standalone dataset or offering it as a substitute for the tracker.
Sign in at your account portal to view your API key, check your usage, replace a lost key, update your card or cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and your key stops working at that point.

You can also search for items under the categories of Official Materials | Acts, Bills & Reforms | Guidelines, Frameworks & Standards | Executive & Regulatory Instruments (to the extent that category is available on the country's profile).
Use case ideas:
Licence terms apply. See below.
See tutorial guide here: A data science approach to tracking AI regulation

To retrieve other data in other languages, specify the optional parameter "lang_code" (Python) or "langCode" (NodeJS, cURL) parameter in the relevant .call() method.
If lang_code / langCode is not specified (or omitted) from your .call() method, the API will default to English.
The API service currently supports English and Chinese (simplified). More languages will be added in the future.
| Parameter value | Language |
|---|---|
| eng | English |
| chn | Chinese (simplified) |
Every request above needs a valid API key. Keys come with a subscription, and the same key also covers the MCP server, the AI search and the embed widget.
Prices, allowances and licence terms are all on the Plans & Pricing ๐ณ tab.
Research AI regulation, compare jurisdictions and keep your findings up to date, inside your AI assistant. Connect Global AI Regulation Tracker to a compatible assistant such as Claude. Ask in plain English; your assistant retrieves tracker sources, explains the findings and links supporting claims directly to their sources.
Start with free country research, a global headline preview or one complete comparison trial. A subscription adds full global roundups, larger comparisons, saved business profiles and updates to your earlier research.
Coverage comes from the same dataset as this website: country, territory, US state and international profiles, with topic, activity and sector filters.
Open My reviews to read your archived comparisons and download reports. Accepted reviews open first; proposed updates have a separate Review changes action. On a phone, select a jurisdiction to read its findings without scrolling across a wide table.
Scheduled monitoring and email digests are not available yet. You can ask your assistant to check a saved review for updates whenever you need.
Your assistant writes the analysis from the retrieved material. Tracker summaries and source links do not, by themselves, verify the legal text, its current version or complete coverage of a topic.
| MCP endpoint | https://mcp.techieray.com/mcp |
| Transport | Streamable HTTP (JSON-RPC 2.0) |
| Health check | https://mcp.techieray.com/health |
| Authentication | Optional. Sign in through your assistant to use your subscription. Existing API keys also work. |
Connect without an API key for country summaries, single-country searches and a preview of up to three global headlines for your requested date window. Sign in with a verified account to use your one-time comparison trial. No card is required for the trial.
| Feature | Free access | With a subscription |
|---|---|---|
| Global updates | Up to three headline links per requested window | Complete regional roundup with summaries; seven days by default |
| Search | One jurisdiction; up to five titles and links per search | Cross-country searches, category filters and up to 50 results with summaries |
| Comparisons | One account trial: up to three jurisdictions and five questions | Additional reviews, each with up to ten jurisdictions and fifteen questions |
| Saved reviews and exports | Read and export your completed trial as Word or PDF | Account archive, version history and exports of reviews and update drafts |
| Review update checks | Weekly no-change checks and one changed update preview on your original trial review | Monthly check allowance, separate drafts and redlines |
| Business profiles | Read profiles you previously saved | Save confirmed profiles to tailor your research |
Paid update-check allowances are 10 on Mini, 30 on Standard, 100 on Pro and 250 on Commercial per calendar month, resetting on the first day of the month in UTC. Global roundups do not use this review-update allowance.
Ask โCheck my account access, trial status and remaining update allowance.โ for your accountโs current availability. Existing saved reviews remain readable and exportable after a subscription ends.
To use a subscription, ask your assistant to connect your tracker account, sign in and allow the connection. Compare prices on the Plans & Pricing tab.
Existing API keys still work for research integrations. Saved reviews, profiles and account allowances require an account connection with review access. If you connected before saved reviews were introduced, reconnect and allow review access.
Latest developments
โWhat are the latest global developments in AI regulation over the past seven days?โ
Your first comparison
โCompare AI hiring rules in the EU, UK and US. Cover candidate notices, impact assessments
and human oversight. Use contextual inline source links and save the completed review.โ
Update your research
โCheck my saved hiring review for changes. Distinguish new developments from corrections
to the earlier analysis. Save supported changes as an unreviewed draft, keep my accepted review unchanged,
and give me a redline and a Word export with tracked changes. Do not enable monitoring.โ
Connect using the URL below, then ask: โConnect my tracker account.โ If no sign-in window appears, choose Authenticate or Sign in in your assistantโs connector settings. Authorization support depends on your client.

Country codes are the same ones the API uses — an ISO code (AU, CN, US), a bloc (EU, ASEAN, OECD) or a US state (US-CA). The full list is on the Country & market codes reference page.
The same terms that govern the API govern the MCP server, available here: Commercial Terms of Service.
Please keep the attribution the server returns with each response — Global AI Regulation Tracker (www.techieray.com/GlobalAIRegulationTracker) — when you reproduce or publish results.
The Global AI Regulation Tracker is now available as a widget ๐
You can now include the tracker as an <iframe> or <embed> element into the HTML of your website, dashboard, intranet page, etc.
The widget is basically a lightweight version of this tracker, with personal commentary and marks removed so that you can white-label and apply your own marks.
Simply add the below snippet into the HTML code of your website. You will need to insert your registered key at the [***INSERT REGISTERED KEY***] part. Without a valid key, the widget will not display. See "Register key" section below.
<div style=โborder: 1px solid #ccc; border-radius: 8px;โ>
